My blog is a full of profanity, observations, rants, complaints, thoughts, feelings, and many other things that you probably don't want to know. I'm a 20 year old who's trying to figure out how she managed to go from a 11th grade academically gifted, seventh day adventist pothead to a tattooed and overpierced, rambunctous and unfeminine exotic dancer, to a domesticated housewife and stay at home mother of one vivacious little girl, all within the course of 2 1/2 years.

A Beautiful Day
Sick and ired...that's me. By the way, I'm Day.
I have PNH -paroxsysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria - a very rare bone marrow disease of which I've suffered most of my adulthood. It is a life-threatening disease- often terminal - and the only cure is a bone marrow transplant for which I have no donor match.
There is promise however that should I have a baby, we can harvest the umbilical cord stem cells for use in a cure for me. The catch? We're infertile and I don't know how long my health will hold up. After close to 3 years of trying to conceive and 3 miscarriages and age 40 just around the corner, my window of opportunity is closing fast. I'm trying to come to terms with how this will all shake out. And I'm doing it here.
One of these days, everything will be beautiful.
